A Moneyline or a “to win” wager is a bet on the outright winner of a game or event, regardless of any point spread adjustments. When betting on the moneyline, the total number of points a team wins or loses by becomes irrelevant.
Moneyline Bet Example:
- Detroit Tigers +120
- Kansas City Royals -130
The Royals are the team expected to win (favorite), as signified by the minus written in front of the 130. Conversely for this game, the Tigers are considered the underdogs, as designated by the plus in front of the 120.
- If wagering on the Kansas City Royals, a $130 wager will yield a win of $100 if the Royals win.
- If wagering on the Detroit Tigers, a $100 wager will yield a win of $120, should the Tigers win.
Although moneylines are expressed in units of $100, bettors are not required to bet a minimum of $100. The minimum wager on the site will be posted in the terms and conditions.
